Stolen Goods and Drugs Bust

The Tlhabane police have arrested a 50 year-old man and his 46 year-old wife on allegations of Possession of suspected stolen goods and possession of drugs in Rustenburg North on the 12th of December 2013 at about 03:00.

The police allegedly received information that there was a house with suspected stolen property and followed up on the information. They went to the identified house where they recovered the following: a decoder, 46 cell phones, 4 digital cameras, a video camera, 16 memory sticks, 7 foreign national passports, 6 Identity documents, 11 wrist watches, 2 plasma televisions, 5 amplifiers, 6 motor vehicle speakers, 1 GPS device, different bank cards and 2 laptops. The total value could be estimated at R100 000. The following drugs were also seized: 13 plastics of Nyaope, Rock, 2 Mandrax tablets and an undisclosed amount of cash.

At this stage police can’t rule out the possibility of more arrests as the investigation continues. The suspects will appear in the Rustenburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
