North West Police arrested 732 suspects for various crimes between Sunday 11 and Sunday 17 November 2013. The suspects face charges ranging from murder, attempted murder, Assault GBH & Common Assault, rape, Burglary (residential & business), drug related crimes and more. The police also managed to confiscate as well as to recover stolen goods such as munitions, firearms, counterfeit cigarettes and drugs.
Most of these suspects have already appeared before various courts. The police applauds the community for their support in the fight against crime.
In other news the North West Provincial Commissioner, Lt Gen Mbombo condemned the rape of a 3 year old child in Mooinooi. The mother of a 3 year old baby allegedly left her with her uncle when she went to work. When she came back from work , the child informed her that her uncle raped her. The suspect is not yet arrested and investigations continues.
Lt General Mbombo said that the police will do everything in their power to ensure that suspects are arrested.
