The Water We Drink

The Water We Drink

Water is a vital part of our daily lives. We use it to cook, to clean, to wash and most importantly to survive. Up to 72% of the human adult body is water. According to H.H. Mitchell, Journal of Biological Chemistry 158, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, and even the bones are watery: 31%.  Water also supports many other vital processes in the body.

As we established water is vital. But what about the water we use, how clean is it really? It is not impossible that water supplies can become contaminated. Bacteria, viruses and pollutants can affect the water, and if you drink it, you could become ill immediately. But most importantly, there are   undetected  contamination like heavy metals, inorganic minerals and loads of chemicals in our “clean” municipal water and if you drink it for a long period, you could develop chronic health issues like cancer,  sinus, high blood pressure, Alzheimer’s, arthritis etc. In fact, 60% of all diseases are waterborne according Dr Batmangejtji, an international authority on water diseases.
